Application Characteristics

• An artistic glaze that produces a matte surface with antique brass tones at approximately 1200°C, featuring subtle surface variations and delicate vibration effects.
• As the firing temperature increases, the glaze gradually transitions from a matte finish to a glossy surface. Around 1250°C, thin applications may still retain localized matte areas, while thicker applications become predominantly glossy and may develop micro crystal-like matte green speckles. At these higher temperatures, the glaze typically matures into mustard yellow with subtle green undertones.
• Matte finishes are typically achieved at 1200°C, while both matte and glossy effects may occur at 1220°C and above, depending on the firing conditions and application thickness.
• In its matte state, the glaze is opaque; when glossy, it becomes translucent.
• The glaze shows no tendency to run between 1200°C and 1220°C. At approximately 1250°C, thicker applications may begin to flow.
• Acid-resistant and free from toxic substances.

Application Methods

• Suitable for brush application. The recommended application thickness is 1–3 coats.
• For spray gun or dipping applications, it is recommended to dilute the glaze with approximately 5–30% water to achieve the desired consistency.
• Recommended Baumé (Bé) range: 45–55.

Testing Recommendations

• We recommend that first-time users prepare test tiles using their own firing schedule and application techniques before production. Testing on both vertical and horizontal surfaces according to your application method will help you better understand the glaze’s behavior.
• The sample shown in the product image was applied over BNC 1200 White Porcelain Clay.
• When combining artistic glazes with other artistic or standard glaze series, we recommend conducting tests beforehand to avoid unexpected results.

Care and Cleaning

• When washed in a dishwasher, the glaze surface may be exposed to high-temperature chemical detergents, which may result in slight changes to the matte finish or artistic surface characteristics.

Safety

• The use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is recommended during application.
• Since glazes react to heat, keep them away from open flames and ignition sources during application.
• Children should use the product only under adult supervision.

Storage

• Store the product in an airtight container, protected from direct sunlight.
• If stored for an extended period, the glaze may begin to dry. In this case, add a small amount of water, mix thoroughly, and strain before use.
• After opening, the application enhancers, stabilizers, and preservatives contained in the glaze may gradually lose their effectiveness over time. This generally does not affect the fired result, but it may reduce application performance, making the glaze more difficult to apply or causing pre-firing surface cracking.
