Mold Usage & Maintenance Instructions

  • Compatibility: Designed specifically for ceramic or porcelain slip casting. The shrinkage rate during casting varies depending on the body/clay type used. Not suitable for plaster, stone powder, or similar materials.

  • Preparation: Before casting, wipe the plaster mold with a damp sponge to ensure it is free of dust and debris. Mix the casting slip thoroughly using an electric mixer if possible, or a wooden spoon.

  • Casting Process: Molds feature a built-in pouring spout (casting head). Pour the slip slowly and steadily until it reaches the brim of the mold spout.

  • Drying & Reusability: Depending on weather and ambient conditions, 2 to 4 castings can be performed per day. The mold absorbs moisture after each casting; allow it to dry completely before the next use.

  • Mold Lifespan: Approximately 90–100 castings, depending on care and handling conditions.
