Recommended Firing Range: 1040–1060 °C
Form: Supplied as a liquid in 175 g, 500 g, and 1000 g packages.
Application Properties
- This glaze series produces a natural and uniform matte finish after firing. The glazes are opaque and provide excellent covering power, creating rich, consistent color while concealing the underlying clay body. They produce a soft-textured surface with a distinctive matte appearance.
- Matte glazes have limited flow and leveling characteristics during firing. Due to their relatively low melting behavior, they have a limited ability to conceal surface imperfections created during application. Drips, uneven brush marks, and variations in application thickness may remain clearly visible after firing. Therefore, the smoothness of the surface prior to glazing has a direct impact on the final fired appearance.
- For this reason, matte glazes should be applied evenly and with a consistent thickness to achieve a smooth and uniform surface. A balanced application helps develop an even matte texture and ensures the desired aesthetic appearance.
- Provides excellent opacity and covering power.
- Does not run within the recommended firing temperature range.
- Not acid resistant.
- Free from toxic substances.
Application Methods
- Suitable for brush application. The recommended application thickness is 2–3 coats.
- For spray gun or dipping applications, it is recommended to add approximately 5–30% water to adjust the consistency.
- Recommended Baumé (°Bé): 44–49.
Testing Recommendation
- We recommend that customers using our glazes for the first time prepare test tiles under their own firing conditions and application methods to evaluate the results. Preparing both vertical and horizontal test pieces according to your application technique will help you better understand the glaze’s behavior.
- The sample shown in the product image was applied over CMR 250 White Casting Body.
- When combining this glaze with another artistic glaze or with other glaze groups, we recommend conducting tests beforehand to avoid possible incompatibilities or defects.
Care and Cleaning
- When washed in a dishwasher, the glaze surface may be exposed to high-temperature chemical detergents. Over time, this may result in changes to the matte finish or the artistic characteristics of the glaze.
Safety
- The use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during application is recommended.
- Since glazes interact with heat, they should be kept away from fire and open flames during application.
- Children should use the product only under adult supervision.
Storage
- Store the product in a tightly sealed container, protected from direct sunlight and air exposure.
- If the glaze begins to dry after prolonged storage, add a small amount of water, mix thoroughly, and strain before use.
- After opening the container, the application aids, stabilizers, and preservatives contained in the glaze may gradually lose their effectiveness over time. This generally does not affect the fired result, but it may reduce application performance, making the glaze more difficult to apply or causing pre-firing surface cracking. If you encounter such a situation, please contact us for technical support and recommended solutions.

- All ready to use glazes are available in 118 ml, 335 ml and 670 ml jars.
- Our glazes are formulated ready to use in liquid forms.
- It is recommended to apply by brush two to three even coats.
- For other application methods you can add 5 %- 10 % water for diluting.
- Before application, the glaze should be homogeneous.
- We suggest you to test glazes on tiles and later on make final applications.
