Application Properties

• When applied in thin layers, it creates metallic and grey shimmering effects. As the application thickness increases, antique effects are created through a combination of grey and green tones. As the application becomes thinner, matte effects become more pronounced. As the application thickness increases, the surface tends to become glossier.

• It provides an opaque finish on the applied surface.

• The surface is matte when applied in thin layers. As the application thickness increases, it tends to develop a glossy appearance.

• There is a risk of glaze cracking (crazing).

• It is not acid-resistant. Contact with acidic foods is not recommended.

• Contains no toxic substances.

Application Methods

• Suitable for brush application; the recommended application thickness is 1 to 3 coats.

• For spray gun or dipping applications, approximately 5–30% water addition is recommended to adjust the viscosity.

• The recommended specific gravity (Baumé) range is 45–55.

Testing Recommendation

• We recommend that customers using our glazes for the first time prepare test tiles in their own firing schedules and using their preferred application methods in order to observe the results. Preparing test tiles on both vertical and horizontal surfaces according to the intended application method will be useful for understanding the glaze’s characteristics.

• The product shown in the image was applied over CMR 250 white casting clay.

• When combining our ceramic art glazes with another art glaze or other glaze groups, we recommend testing beforehand to avoid potential issues.

Care and Cleaning

• When the product is washed in a dishwasher, the glaze surface may be exposed to high-temperature chemical solutions, which may cause matting or variations in its artistic effects.

Safety

• The use of personal protective equipment is recommended during application.

• As glazes interact with heat, they should be kept away from sources of fire and open flames during application.

• Children should use the product under supervision.

Storage

• Store the products in airtight conditions and protect them from direct sunlight.

• Products may begin to dry if stored for a very long time. In this case, add a small amount of water, mix thoroughly, strain, and use.

• After the package has been opened, the glaze’s application aids, stabilizers, and antibacterial agents may gradually lose their effectiveness over time. This generally does not affect the glaze’s firing results; however, it may affect application performance. Application may become more difficult, or cracks may appear on the surface before firing. If you encounter such an issue, please contact us for possible solutions.

  • All ready to use glazes are available in 118 ml, 335 ml and 670 ml jars.
  • Our glazes are formulated ready to use in liquid forms.
  • It is recommended to apply by brush two to three even coats.
  • For other application methods you can add 5 %- 10 % water for diluting.
  • Before application, the glaze should be homogeneous.
  • We suggest you to test glazes on tiles and later on make final applications.
