Product Code: SP 1201 – Bronz
Recommended Firing Range: 1200–1250°C
Form: Supplied in liquid form in 175 g, 500 g, and 1000 g packages.
Application Characteristics
- An artistic glaze with a metallic surface character in brown and bronze tones. In thin applications, it produces brown-bronze shades, while in thicker applications, the golden-bronze effect intensifies, creating a more metallic appearance. The surface has a matte finish.
- High opacity.
- No running tendency at 1200–1220°C when applied at the recommended thickness. At 1220–1250°C, significant running may occur.
- Not acid-resistant. Contact with acidic foods is not recommended.
- Does not contain toxic substances.
Application Methods
- Suitable for brush application; the recommended thickness is 2–3 coats.
- For spray (pistol) or dipping methods, it is recommended to add approximately 5–30% water to adjust the density.
- Recommended Baumé range: 45–55.
Testing Recommendation
- For customers using our glazes for the first time, we recommend preparing test tiles under your own kiln conditions and application methods to evaluate the results. Preparing both vertical and horizontal test pieces according to your application method will help you better understand the glaze.
- In the product image, the glaze was applied on BNC 1200 white porcelain clay.
- When combining artistic glazes with other artistic or different glaze groups, we recommend testing to avoid possible defects.
Care and Cleaning
- When washed in a dishwasher, the glaze surface may be exposed to high-temperature chemical solutions. This may cause matting or variations in its artistic characteristics.
Safety
- The use of personal protective equipment during application is recommended.
- As glazes interact with heat, keep away from fire and open flame sources during application.
- Children should use the product under adult supervision.
Storage
- Store in airtight conditions and protect from direct sunlight.
- If stored for a long time, the product may begin to dry. In this case, add some water, mix thoroughly, and sieve before use.
- After opening, over time the brushing agents, stabilizers, and antibacterial additives in the glaze may lose effectiveness. This generally does not affect the firing result but may influence application performance (e.g., more difficult application or pre-firing surface cracking). If you encounter such a situation, please contact us for solution recommendations.

- All ready to use glazes are available in 118 ml, 335 ml and 670 ml jars.
- Our glazes are formulated ready to use in liquid forms.
- It is recommended to apply by brush two to three even coats.
- For other application methods you can add 5 %- 10 % water for diluting.
- Before application, the glaze should be homogeneous.
- We suggest you to test glazes on tiles and later on make final applications.
