Application Characteristics

• A colorless transparent glaze with exceptional clarity that preserves the natural appearance of the clay body while clearly revealing every detail of underglaze decorations. Its transparent composition enhances the vibrancy of colors and patterns while providing a smooth, glossy surface finish.
• For optimum performance, this transparent glaze should be applied in a thin, even coat. Thin applications produce maximum clarity and transparency. If applied too heavily, the surface may develop a cloudy, whitish haze commonly referred to as “bor veil”, which reduces transparency and diminishes the clarity of both the decoration and the clay body beneath. For brush application, a single, well-saturated coat is sufficient, and excessively thick applications should be avoided.
• Glossy surface finish.
• Non-flowing within the recommended firing temperature range.
• Acid-resistant and free from toxic substances.

Application Methods

• Suitable for brush application. The recommended application thickness is 1 coat.
• For spray gun or dipping applications, it is recommended to dilute the glaze with approximately 5–30% water to achieve the desired consistency.
• Recommended Baumé (Bé) range: 38–41.

Testing Recommendations

• We recommend that first-time users prepare test tiles using their own firing schedule and application techniques before production. Testing on both vertical and horizontal surfaces according to your application method will help you better understand the glaze’s behavior.
• The sample shown in the product image was applied over BNC 1200 Porcelain Casting Slip.
• When combining this glaze with artistic glazes or other glaze series, we recommend conducting tests beforehand to avoid unexpected results.

Care and Cleaning

• When washed in a dishwasher, the glaze surface may be exposed to high-temperature chemical detergents, which may result in slight changes to the surface appearance or gloss over time.

Safety

• The use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is recommended during application.
• Since glazes react to heat, keep them away from open flames and ignition sources during application.
• Children should use the product only under adult supervision.

Storage

• Store the product in an airtight container, protected from direct sunlight.
• If stored for an extended period, the glaze may begin to dry. In this case, add a small amount of water, mix thoroughly, and strain before use.
• After opening, the application enhancers, stabilizers, and preservatives contained in the glaze may gradually lose their effectiveness over time. This generally does not affect the fired result, but it may reduce application performance, making the glaze more difficult to apply or causing pre-firing surface cracking.
